A little more than half a century ago, not every citizen in this country had the right to vote. They were denied the opportunity to shape their own destiny and chart a postive course for their lives because of who they were. Voting is the cornerstone of our great American republic; it is increasingly important that you partake in this civic duty to ensure your interests are represented. It is essential that you, not only register and exercise this right, but also volunteer time campaigning for candidates who will fight for eqaulity, justice, fairness and equal protection under the law for every single American.
