My name is Frederick Bell, and I am a sophomore at Louisiana State University studying mass communication and political science. I am thrilled to announce my candidacy for International Second Vice President of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated.
For most of my young adult life, I have committed myself in service to others. I fully recognize the enormity of servant leadership, and the only way we can truly strive and thrive, as individual communities and as a country, is if we lift each other up and view our success as dependent on the success of others.
This will be my attitude moving forward.
The International Second Vice President is the highest position a collegiate member can hold. It comes with immense responsibility the likes of which I am not unfamiliar to. I believe my record of leadership across numerous organizations makes me well equipped and qualified for this position.
I have been a fierce advocate for ensuring that the voice of young people always had a seat at the table. Our voice is powerful, but often unheard. This is why it is crucial to have someone as second vice president who will always stand up for collegiates around the world.
As second vice president, my platform will consist of SACK, which will focus on servant leadership, advocacy for collegiate engagement, collegiate to alumni transition, and knowledge management.
I look forward to working with each member of this wondrous band to accomplish these goals and much more.
